About Raft

The founders of Raft realised some time ago that there was a real lack of high quality and craftsmanship at an affordable price available.

Wanting to get away from the flat-packed throw-away culture of today, Raft began to focus on ideas and challenging modern furniture manufacturing techniques, moving away from cliches and stereotypes of what it means to be eco and produce a chic and sophisticated furniture design.

It is Raft’s commitment to this concept that has led to its success.

Twelve years on we at Raft are still committed to this concept. We hand make all our sofas in London and Manchester to the highest specifications. Our fabrics are predominantly produced in Belgium and Italian weaving sheds and the leather we use is hand selected from the best natural hides produced in European tanneries.

We believe a business is like a family with mutual loyalty, this attitude has meant we work with a highly dedicated team. From the interns through the sales team to the designers, all ideas are considered and the best taken on board.  With 4 company-owned stores already trading successfully during the last decade, RAFT Furniture opened its first franchised store in 2011. We have recently opened RAFT franchised stores in Harrogate, Brighton and Clapham and our Kingston franchise is opening shortly.

Who We’re Looking For

We are now seeking to appoint further capable like-minded business people, partners, friends and individuals who have a strong sense of team and want to be part of something big. People who can work with others and are also self-motivated. You must be willing to learn and happy to dedicate time.

You will not need any direct experience in our industry – you will need to show us that you have the skill, commitment and determination to get on with people at all levels and the passion and ability to successfully run a business such as ours.

We are passionate about RAFT and seek other like minded individuals to join our growing network of successful Franchises. Over the next few years we will be opening RAFT stores in each region of the UK and Ireland as well as in selected European countries.
