The Photography for Little People franchise team offer a week-long training course for new franchisees at our head office in Durham!

The first day consists of getting to know all the other franchisees so that there is effective communication within the group. Communication is key at Photography for Little People- we believe team work is a highly valuable skill. After the franchisees have been acquainted, we then examine the equipment and the high-end camera. Familarity with holding a camera is of the utmost importance and we allow you to dive in straight away and take high quality shots of newborn babies. Practice, after all, makes perfect.

There is a focus on setting up and lighting on day 2- the best images are taken in the right environment! We also show you how to shoot a newborn in different positions.

By day 3, you will be working more independently and we introduce 4 sitter and toddler model shoots that allow you to manage your own lighting and to arrange shoot times with clients. 

Practical impression training, with 5 models. takes place on the morning of day 4. In the afternoon, you will be framing the impressions. 

On the final day, we review what we have covered over the past few days and help you to design your samples and transfer images. We then sit down with you to plan the next few weeks of business and set marketing tasks also.

Photography for Little People offer a very hands-on and intense training session, and we work with you to help you be at your best! There is the option to recap over anything you are still unsure of, by referring to our manual or by gaining access to a secure franchisee forum. The Head Office team are also available for support and guidance.
