From Pizza Dough to the Real Money

Manj Singh has been self-employed since 2000, when he purchased his first retail business in Liverpool. When he eventually sold it in 2006, Manj moved back to his home turf in the Midlands.

Redstones Franchise Opportunity

He was introduced to franchising back in 2007, in Staffordshire, via the fast food industry – he says, “I wanted to run my business and continue to work for myself, and as I had an interest in food and catering I took my first steps in franchising and bought into a well-known pizza franchise, which I enjoyed running immensely and, over a six month period, ended up owning and running four pizza outlets.

It was a fantastic experience to have so early on in my life and it’s been incredibly satisfying for to be part of developing my business and my business acumen into good business ethics”.
Prior to taking up his Redstones franchise Manj was a busy man, as you can imagine! Working in the fast food industry had its challenges, but he felt he had achieved as much as he could and started looking around for his next adventure in franchising.

Having been self-employed for so long Manj feels that there is no comparison, as he says: “My belief has always been that working for myself means that there is no limit to what I can earn; the harder I am willing to work the more I will earn, and I really enjoy reaping the rewards of my own efforts!”

So why did he choose Redstones franchise over others that are available?

As Manj explains: “I believe that, to be successful, you need to give consistently good, if not excellent customer service. The professionalism & efficiency I saw in the Redstones operation was so in tune with my business beliefs as well as being an impressive operation which they have made simple by the technology they use; it really was a very simple decision for me to make”.

I consider myself very lucky to have found a fantastic team of people at Redstones; every day is different. I wouldn’t go back to the catering industry for anything – even thought it served well in the early years!”
Manj now runs the business on his own, but states “My wife hasn’t joined me in the business…. Yet” so obviously he has hopes for a family run business!
